# Delete the latest timeline event for a credentialing workflow

`DELETE /credentialing-workflows/{workflowId}/timeline-events/latest`

Deletes the most recent timeline event (by creation date) for the specified credentialing workflow. Returns the deleted timeline event data. Only works on the latest workflow version for a practitioner. Cannot delete CRED_APPROVED or CRED_DENIED events as they have side effects that cannot be reversed. Note: There is a small race window between fetching and deleting; if another event is created concurrently, the previously-latest event will be deleted instead.
