# Create a new RBD group in the specified pool

`POST /api/block/pool/{pool_name}/group`

## Path parameters

- `pool_name` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required — Name for the new group
  - `namespace` string — Optional RBD namespace within the pool. Provides logical isolation of images. When specified, operations are scoped to that namespace. If omitted, the default namespace is used.
