# Remove phone number from your account

`DELETE /numbers/{number}`

Terminate the number subscription and immediately free up the number. If the number is currently attached to an actions scenario, it will be detached. Should there be a contract associated with the number, your account will be billed for the remaining contractual days.

## Path parameters

- `number` string, required — A phone number in ITU-T E.164 format https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.164, prefixed by "+"

## Response `204`

Phone number removed

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Resource Not Found
- `429` — Too Many Requests (rate limit exceeded)
- `500` — Internal Server Error
