# A new IP block is added to the given domain.

`POST /api/v2/companies/{id}/ipblocks`

A new IP block is added to the given company's domain and a scan is triggered if the domain is classified as active. When Black Kite starts to monitor your companies, it scrapes all the related domains, which is called the digital footprint of that company. However, albeit rare, there are cases where you may want to relate a seemingly unrelated IP block with your company. Certain roles or permissions are needed to be able to use this endpoint. See the Extensions section of this endpoint or take a look at the 'Adding an IP Block' article in the Black Kite help documents.
