# Get accounting class details

`GET /v3/classifications/accounting-classes/{id}`

Get details about an existing accounting class.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required — BILL-generated ID of the accounting class. The value begins with `cls`.

## Headers

- `sessionId` string, nullable — API session ID generated with `/v3/login`
- `devKey` string, nullable — Developer key generated with your BILL developer account

## Response `200`

Get accounting class details response

- ClassificationAccountingClassResponseDto — ClassificationAccountingClass response Dto.
  - `id` string — BILL-generated ID of the accounting class. The value begins with `cls`.
  - `name` string — Accounting class name
  - `shortName` string — Accounting class short name
  - `description` string — Accounting class description
  - `parentId` string — BILL-generated ID of the parent accounting class. You can set this field if this accounting class is a child object.
  - `archived` boolean — Set as `true` if the accounting class is archived
  - `createdTime` string, date-time — Created date and time
  - `updatedTime` string, date-time — Updated date and time
