# Order Docket Details

`PUT /dockets/{docket_id}/details`

Orders updates for the given docket from the court or cached version.

## Path parameters

- `docket_id` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier of the docket to fetch updates for.

## Query parameters

- `from_court` boolean — Whether to fetch the docket details directly from the court. Defaults to False.

## Headers

- `Prefer` string, nullable — Request execution preference (RFC 7240). Use ``respond-async`` for asynchronous execution, ``wait=N`` to specify a synchronous timeout hint in seconds, or ``priority=low`` to route the task to the low-priority queue.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- V1DocketDetailState — Represents a docket detail state.
  - `id` string, uuid, required — ID of the docket update request
  - `docket_id` string, uuid, required — ID of the docket the search was performed for
  - `state` 'PENDING' | 'EXECUTING' | 'COMPLETED' | 'FAILED' | 'CANCELLED', required

- `422` — Validation Error
