# POST /asset/agent-space/{agentSpaceId}/assets/{assetId}/files/{path}

`POST /asset/agent-space/{agentSpaceId}/assets/{assetId}/files/{path}`

Creates a file in an asset

## Path parameters

- `agentSpaceId` string, required — Unique identifier for an agent space (allows alphanumeric characters and hyphens; 1-64 characters)
- `assetId` string, required — Generic resource identifier (allows alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores; 1-128 characters)
- `path` string, required — The path of a file within an asset

  - `content` object, required — Content of an individual asset file
    - `bytes` string — Binary file content
    - `text` string — Text file content
  - `metadata` object — Optional metadata describing this file
  - `clientToken` string — A unique, case-sensitive identifier used for idempotent asset file creation

    - `path` string, required — The path of this file within the asset
    - `content` object, required — The content of this file
      - `bytes` string — Binary file content

    - `version` integer, required — The asset version this file belongs to
    - `createdAt` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when this file was created
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when this file was last updated
