# setPrepDetails

`POST /inbound/fba/2024-03-20/items/prepDetails`

Set the preparation details for a list of MSKUs in a specified marketplace.

## Request body

- SetPrepDetailsRequest — The `setPrepDetails` request.
  - `marketplaceId` string, required — The marketplace ID. For a list of possible values, refer to [Marketplace IDs](https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/marketplace-ids).
  - `mskuPrepDetails` MskuPrepDetailInput[], required — A list of MSKUs and related prep details.
    - `msku` string, required — The merchant SKU, a merchant-supplied identifier for a specific SKU.
    - `prepCategory` 'ADULT' | 'BABY' | 'FC_PROVIDED' | 'FRAGILE' | 'GRANULAR' | 'HANGER' | 'LIQUID' | 'PERFORATED' | 'SET' | 'SHARP' | 'SMALL' | 'TEXTILE' | 'UNKNOWN' | 'NONE', required — The preparation category for shipping an item to Amazon's fulfillment network.
    - `prepTypes` PrepType[], required — A list of preparation types associated with a preparation category.

- SetPrepDetailsResponse — The `setPrepDetails` response.
  - `operationId` string, required — UUID for the given operation.

## Other responses

- `400` — Request has missing or invalid parameters and cannot be parsed.
- `403` — Indicates that access to the resource is forbidden. Possible reasons include Access Denied, Unauthorized, Expired Token, or Invalid Signature.
- `404` — The resource specified does not exist.
- `413` — The request size exceeded the maximum accepted size.
- `415` — The request payload is in an unsupported format.
- `429` — The frequency of requests was greater than allowed.
- `500` — An unexpected condition occurred that prevented the server from fulfilling the request.
- `503` — Temporary overloading or maintenance of the server.
