# createInboundPlan

`POST /inbound/fba/2024-03-20/inboundPlans`

Creates an inbound plan. An inbound plan contains all the necessary information to send shipments into Amazon's fufillment network.

## Request body

- CreateInboundPlanRequest — The `createInboundPlan` request.
  - `destinationMarketplaces` string[], required — Marketplaces where the items need to be shipped to. Currently only one marketplace can be selected in this request.
  - `items` ItemInput[], required — Items included in this plan.
    - `expiration` string — The expiration date of the MSKU. In [ISO 8601](https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/iso-8601) datetime format with pattern `YYYY-MM-DD`. Items with the same MSKU but different expiration dates cannot go into the same box.
    - `labelOwner` 'AMAZON' | 'SELLER' | 'NONE', required — Specifies who will label the items. Options include `AMAZON`, `SELLER` or `NONE`.
    - `manufacturingLotCode` string — The manufacturing lot code.
    - `msku` string, required — The merchant SKU, a merchant-supplied identifier of a specific SKU.
    - `prepOwner` 'AMAZON' | 'SELLER' | 'NONE', required — The owner of the preparations, if special preparations are required.
    - `quantity` integer, required — The number of units of the specified MSKU that will be shipped.
  - `name` string — Name for the Inbound Plan. If one isn't provided, a default name will be provided.
  - `sourceAddress` AddressInput, required — Specific details to identify a place.
    - `addressLine1` string, required — Street address information.
    - `addressLine2` string — Additional street address information.
    - `city` string, required — The city.
    - `companyName` string — The name of the business.
    - `countryCode` string, required — The country code in two-character ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 format.
    - `districtOrCounty` string — The district or county.
    - `email` string — The email address.
    - `name` string, required — The name of the individual who is the primary contact.
    - `phoneNumber` string, required — The phone number.
    - `postalCode` string, required — The postal code.
    - `stateOrProvinceCode` string — The state or province code.

## Response `202`

CreateInboundPlan 202 response

- CreateInboundPlanResponse — The `createInboundPlan` response.
  - `inboundPlanId` string, required — Identifier of an inbound plan.
  - `operationId` string, required — UUID for the given operation.

## Other responses

- `400` — Request has missing or invalid parameters and cannot be parsed.
- `403` — Indicates that access to the resource is forbidden. Possible reasons include Access Denied, Unauthorized, Expired Token, or Invalid Signature.
- `404` — The resource specified does not exist.
- `413` — The request size exceeded the maximum accepted size.
- `415` — The request payload is in an unsupported format.
- `429` — The frequency of requests was greater than allowed.
- `500` — An unexpected condition occurred that prevented the server from fulfilling the request.
- `503` — Temporary overloading or maintenance of the server.
