# Update User

`PATCH /organizations/users/{userId}`

Updates an existing user's information in the organization. You can modify the user's name, email, team assignment, and role. Requires proper permissions to update user details.

    - `uuid` string, required — The UUID of the team the user will belong to.
    - `primary` boolean — Whether this team is the user's primary team.
  - `roleUUID` string — The UUID of the role assigned to the user.
  - `seat_type` 'listener' | 'recording' — The type of seat assigned to the user.

          - `name` string — Name of the Slack team
      - `domain` string — Domain associated with the team
      - `organizerJoinInternalMeetings` boolean — Whether team organizers can join internal meetings
      - `consentEmailEnabled` boolean — Whether email consent is enabled for the team
      - `parentTeamUUID` string — UUID of the parent team if this team is part of a hierarchy
      - `organizationUUID` string — UUID of the organization this team belongs to
      - `children` Team[] — List of child teams if this team has a hierarchical structure
