# Create Team

`POST /organizations/teams`

Creates a new team in the organization. You can optionally specify a parent team to create a hierarchical team structure. The team will be created with default permissions and settings.

## Request body

- CreateTeamRequest
  - `name` string, required
  - `parentTeamUUID` string

## Response `200`

Team successfully created

- CreateTeamResponse
  - `data` Team — Represents a team in the system with its properties and hierarchical structure
    - `uuid` string — Unique identifier of the team
    - `name` string — Name of the team
    - `phrases` string[] — List of keywords or phrases associated with the team
    - `slackConnection` SlackConnection — Represents the Slack integration details for a team
      - `id` string — Slack connection identifier
      - `info` SlackTeamInfo — Information about a connected Slack team
        - `id` string — Slack team identifier
        - `name` string — Name of the Slack team
    - `domain` string — Domain associated with the team
    - `organizerJoinInternalMeetings` boolean — Whether team organizers can join internal meetings
    - `consentEmailEnabled` boolean — Whether email consent is enabled for the team
    - `parentTeamUUID` string — UUID of the parent team if this team is part of a hierarchy
    - `organizationUUID` string — UUID of the organization this team belongs to
    - `children` Team[] — List of child teams if this team has a hierarchical structure

## Other responses

- `400` — Parent Team does not exist or is not part of the organization
- `401` — Valid API key required
- `409` — A team with the same name already exists in the organization
- `500` — Unexpected server error. Please try again later.
- `default` — unexpected error
