# Get issue navigator default columns

`GET /rest/api/3/settings/columns`

Returns the default issue navigator columns.

**[Permissions](#permissions) required:** *Administer Jira* [global permission](https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/x4dKLg).

## Response `200`

Returned if the request is successful.

- ColumnItem[]
  - `label` string — The issue navigator column label.
  - `value` string — The issue navigator column value.

## Other responses

- `401` — Returned if the authentication credentials are incorrect or missing.
- `403` — Returned if the user does not have the necessary permission.
