# Delete the global compatibility configuration.

`DELETE /config`

Removes the global compatibility configuration and reverts to default settings.

## Response `200`

The compatibility configuration that was deleted.

- GlobalConfigResponse
  - `compatibilityLevel` string — The current global compatibility level.

## Other responses

- `500` — Error returned by the Schema Registry API
