# Edit a share

`PATCH /shares/{share_id}`

Update the description and/or expiration date for an existing share. Takes the share id to update with optional description and expires parameters.

## Path parameters

- `share_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `stream` 0 | 1
- `download` 0 | 1
- `expires` integer
- `description` string
