# Create a playlist folder

`PUT /playlist-folders`

Creates an empty folder. The name may not contain a / because that is the path separator, and must be unique among its siblings; the comparison is case-insensitive, so Rock and rock collide.

## Query parameters

- `name` string
- `parent` string
- `sort_order` integer

## Request body

- PlaylistFolderCreateRequest
  - `name` string
  - `parent` string — Parent folder as an id or a name path; the root when omitted
  - `sort_order` integer

## Response `200`

The folder that was created

  - `playlist_folder` PlaylistFolderObject[], required
    - `id` string, required

- `400` — HTTP 400 Bad Request (errors 4705, 4710).
- `401` — HTTP 401 Unauthorized (error 4701).
