# Get folder children by folder ID

`GET /folders/{folder_id}`

Return children of a parent folder object by ID **Ampache 8.0.0+**

## Path parameters

## Response `200`

Children of a parent folder resolved by object ID.

  - `folder` FolderBrowseNode, required — The folder that was browsed, and its children. `parent` is the id of the folder this one hangs off: a top level folder reports the virtual root (`-1`) rather than nothing, so a client can always walk up, and `null` means this is the virtual root itself.
