# Historical bars (single symbol)

`GET /v2/stocks/{symbol}/bars`

The historical stock bars API provides aggregates for the stock symbol between the specified dates.

## Path parameters

- `symbol` string, required

## Query parameters

- `timeframe` string, required
- `start` string, date-time
- `end` string, date-time
- `limit` integer
- `adjustment` string
- `asof` string
- `feed` 'iex' | 'otc' | 'sip' | 'boats'
- `currency` string
- `page_token` string
- `sort` 'asc' | 'desc' — Sort data in ascending or descending order.

  - `bars` StockBar[], required
    - `c` number, double, required — Closing price.
    - `h` number, double, required — High price.
    - `l` number, double, required — Low price.
    - `n` integer, required — Trade count in the bar.
    - `o` number, double, required — Opening price.
    - `t` string, date-time, required — Timestamp in RFC-3339 format with nanosecond precision.
    - `v` integer, required — Bar volume.
    - `vw` number, double, required — Volume weighted average price.
  - `currency` string
  - `next_page_token` string, nullable, required — Pagination token for the next page.
  - `symbol` string, required

## Other responses

- `400` — One of the request parameters is invalid. See the returned message for details.
- `401` — Authentication headers are missing or invalid. Make sure you authenticate your request with a valid API key.
- `403` — The requested resource is forbidden.
- `429` — Too many requests. You hit the rate limit. Use the X-RateLimit-... response headers to make sure you're under the rate limit.
