# POST /esm-get

`POST /esm-get`

## Request body

- EsmGet — esmGet is a command that gets the value and interal details of a secret from an External Secrets Manager
  - `esm-name` string, required — Name of the External Secrets Manager item
  - `json` boolean — Set output format to JSON
  - `secret-id` string, required — The secret id (or name, for AWS, Azure or K8s targets) to get from the External Secrets Manager
  - `token` string — Authentication token (see `/auth` and `/configure`)
  - `uid-token` string — The universal identity token, Required only for universal_identity authentication

esmGetResponse wraps response body.
