# Update team-project association

`PUT /account/{account_id}/team/{team_id}/project/{project}`

Teams have been replaced by groups. To make the transition to groups smoother, migrate your teams to groups. Members of the Account Owners team are automatically made super admin. You can change their access level by revoking super admin privileges, or by granting other roles and permissions.

The API endpoint /v1/account/{account\_id}/team/{team\_id}/project/{project} is deprecated. Use https://api.aiven.io/v1/organization/{organization\_id}/permissions/project/{project\_id} instead. It will be removed on 2026-06-15.
