# Resolve Application Revision

`POST /applications/revisions/resolve`

Fetch a revision with embedded references inlined.

When a revision's `data` carries references to other entities
(snippets, linked revisions), this endpoint resolves them in place and
returns the fully-inlined configuration along with `resolution_info`
describing what was substituted. Use it when clients need a
self-contained configuration for invocation or export.

## Request body

- ApplicationRevisionResolveRequest — Request body for `POST /applications/revisions/resolve`. Fetches a revision and resolves any embedded references (snippets, linked revisions) inside its `data`. Use when clients need the fully-inlined configuration instead of the raw stored form.

  - `retrieval_info` RetrievalInfo — References actually used to retrieve a revision. For direct retrievals, `references` carries the artifact / variant / revision that was fetched. For environment-backed retrievals, it additionally carries the environment + environment_variant + environment_revision used to look the target up, and `selector` is {the key: path} map inside the environment's references map that selected the target.
