# Create Application

`POST /applications/`

Create an application artifact only.

Returns an empty application without any variants or revisions.
Most callers should use `POST /simple/applications/` instead — it
creates the artifact, a default variant, and a first committed
revision in one request.

## Query parameters

- `application_id` string, uuid, nullable

## Request body

- ApplicationCreateRequest — Request body for creating an application artifact. Applications are versioned resources; creating one produces an empty artifact. Use `POST /simple/applications/` if you want to create the artifact, a default variant, and a first committed revision in a single call.   - `count` integer — `1` when the application was found, `0` otherwise.

    - `flags` ApplicationArtifactFlags — Application flags - is_application=True; other booleans use their normal defaults unless explicitly set.
