# Fetch Span

`GET /spans/{trace_id}/{span_id}`

Fetch a single span by `trace_id` + `span_id`.

Returns `{count: 1, span}` when found and `{count: 0}` otherwise.
Both IDs are required path parameters. Use this to drill in on one
span from a trace waterfall without pulling the full tree.
