# Delete a document

`DELETE /v3/documents/{identifier}`

Deletes the specified document from the database.

## Path parameters

- `identifier` string, required — Unique identifier for the document

## Response `204`

Delete successful, no content returned

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request. If it is a validation error will contain a list of each invalid field
- `401` — Authorisation error
- `default` — UnexpectedError
